Suryan Wirya-Simunovic has been a Managing Executive Officer of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) since April 2025, and holds the position of Chief Executive Officer & Director of MOL (Europe Africa) Ltd. He is based in London where he leads MOL’s Europe and Africa regional business and is the Regional Head of Business in charge of Europe and Africa and the Americas (Energy Related Business). Prior to rejoining MOL in 2021 he spent four years working at Golar LNG as Executive Vice President focusing on global business development in LNG to Power projects across the world. Earlier in his career, he led MOL’s LNG Chartering and FSRU business development activities first in London and subsequently as General Manager in Singapore. In his career he has held various roles working for BP, Enron Europe, the Ultramar & Ultragas Group of companies as well as ExxonMobil where he started his career. He holds an MBA degree from the London Business School and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
