Elio Ruggeri is the Managing Director of Snam Energy Terminals, the Snam group’s unit dedicated to LNG assets. Since 2018, he has been responsible for the development and the operations of Snam's LNG business, now comprising 5 LNG regasification terminals with 28 BCM of capacity. Ruggeri also managed Snam's participation in various European energy companies. Before joining Snam, he spent 20 years in Edison in roles with increasing responsibilities across the gas value chain. His last position was SVP for Gas Supplies and Infrastructure, where he managed multiple LNG supply and regassification for both short- and long-term agreements. Since June 2023, Ruggeri has served as the President of Assocostieri, the leading Italian association for energy logistics, which plays a pivotal role for firms operating in the field of energy terminals.
