A graduate of the University of Illinois-Chicago, Mr. Ibadov began his career at the World Trade Center Chicago and PricewaterhouseCoopers and went on to hold senior financial leadership roles across the energy value chain. From CFO of STAR Refinery and Petkim, to Head of Finance for SOCAR Türkiye’s Refinery & Petrochemicals Business Unit, his track record reflects a deep commitment to operational excellence and regional growth. Since February 2023, he has served as CEO of SOCAR Türkiye, overseeing one of the most strategically significant energy portfolios in the region. A Harvard Business School alumnus and a member of ACCA, ACFE, and IIA, he is also an active contributor to Türkiye’s international business dialogue as Vice President of YASED and DEK Türkiye, and Board Member of İKMİB.
