Andy Elliott joined Esso Australia Pty Ltd in 1999 as a geologist, working on drilling programs in the Gippsland Basin, Australia. He went on to work on exploration and production projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, South America and Asia Pacific. In 2008, Andy was posted to Houston, U.S., before becoming the Geoscience Operations Technical Manager in 2011 in Calgary, Canada. In 2014, Andy became Director of Exploration in Australia with a portfolio ranging from rank wildcat drilling in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea, to new opportunities generation in Asia Pacific. In 2018, Andy returned to Houston as a member of the Upstream Organisation Design Team, before becoming Upstream Portfolio Manager in 2019. From 2021, as the LNG Strategy and Portfolio Manager, he was responsible for developing and maintaining the Corporation’s LNG Strategy, as well as growing and optimising the global LNG portfolio. He assumed his current position as President, ExxonMobil LNG Asia Pacific in 2023. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Geology from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
