In the last decade Karlijn Arts made it her sole purpose to accelerate the energy transition by working on solutions which enable our transition from a fossil based society to a biogenic- and circular one. Throughout these years she has been developing new renewable energy sources, contributed to the creation of green regulations and enabled the scale-up of the sustainable aviation fuel sector. Currently, she has embarked upon the journey to make the chemical sector more sustainable by leading the sustainability and
regulatory affairs efforts for the Methanol Group at OCI.
She is an expert in renewable energy policies, sustainable transport regulation, carbon accounting methodologies, sustainability certification, supply chain decarbonization technologies and sustainable feedstock sourcing strategies.
